Update on Research Misconduct Allegations: CIRM Removes Scientist Involved in its Application Review Process
Share

In response to a query from the California Stem Cell Report, the California stem cell agency released the following statement about allegations of research misconduct involving one of its grant application reviewers, Khalid Shah of Harvard University:

“At CIRM, we take allegations regarding scientific misconduct seriously. Per the bylaws of the GWG, we are assessing the claims against Dr. Shah and will determine the appropriate next steps regarding his professional capacity to serve on the GWG. Until this process is completed, Dr. Shah will not participate in future reviews at CIRM.”

The CIRM statement has been incorporated into an updated story about the situation.
