The CIRM CEO Search: New President by June 1, That's the Timetable
It's an "opportunity of a lifetime," says the search subcommittee
The California stem cell agency hopes to have a new president hired by the end of May, a pace that is nearly twice as fast as past searches for a chief executive officer.
The position, however, is not yet listed as a “job opportunity” on the website of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), the official name of the $12 billion state agency that finances stem cell and gene therapy research, among other things, within the Golden State.
The search firm that CIRM hired -- SRI Executive -- has already begun to identify suitable candidates.
