New Clarifications on Pause for Research Applications at California Stem Cell/Gene Therapy Program
Basic research escapes suspension
The $12 billion California stem cell agency clarified information today concerning its six-month pause on new applications for its multimillion-dollar research awards while it works out the details of implementing its new priorities.
The latest statement said that the DISCO, basic research program would accept applications up until the deadline in February 2025. Other award rounds remain closed. The clarification was delivered via an email blast at midday today and a posting on the CIRM website.
