Late Changes in California Stem Cell/Gene Therapy Award Proposals; Hundreds of Millions of Dollars Involved
New plans for award rounds with new priorities on the table Thursday morning
Plans involving hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer-financed stem cell and gene therapy research were “updated” late yesterday, just two days before they are scheduled to be approved by California’s stem cell agency.
The changes involve 55 pages of documents on the agenda for the meeting Thursday in Sacramento dealing with such things as preclinical and clinical awards, nonprofit firms, eligibility requirements and more.
