Public meeting on Friday afternoon dealing with evaluation of CIRM's three top executives
Ever wonder about exactly what the three top leaders of California’s $12 billion stem cell and gene therapy agency are expected to do?
Now, you can find a proposed list of what is desired by its 35-member governing board, which is legally known as the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee. The positions involved are the chair, vice chair and president/CEO. All are salaried employees of the agency. Their performance review criteria are on the agenda for the board’s Governance Committee online meeting this Friday.
Missing from the list is one critical task that has been recommended for years by outside evaluations of the agency, formally known as the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, (CIRM). And that is sustainability.
